Tips and Tricks to Keep You Smelling Fabulous All Day Long

Want to make a good first impression? Well, I don’t know about you, but personally, how a person smells is one of the first things I notice when meeting someone for the first time and in terms of dating, it weighs’ heavily when deciding whether or not there will be a second date. Dating or not dating, I think we can all agree, that smelling good is rather important and it is not exactly ideal to be smelling fabulous with your favourite perfume at the start of the night only for it to wear off half way through. The following tips and tricks will keep you smelling your best all day, every day.

Let first discuss what ingredients your ought to be looking for when searching for your long lasting, future go-to perfume. Ingredients such as sandalwood, musk and vanilla, when included in a fragrance, tend to improve its longevity. YSL’s Libre Le Parfum is a wonderful choice when it comes to a long lasting fragrance, with it including vanilla extract. This perfume is a personal favourite of mine so I can confirm that it has weathered some pretty wild and rough nights out on the town.

Now that you’ve chosen your perfect perfume with the deliberant ingredients, let’s dive into some more tips. My second tip that has been a game changer, is to spray a spritz or two of perfume in your hair. The fragrance will permeate your strands, making it last throughout the day. Do keep in mind though, that excessive fragrance in hair could cause damage but you can’t go too wrong with a mistings worth in the morning to assist with your daily aroma.

The next thing you may want to consider is applying your fragrance right after taking a shower. Due to the warm water and steam, your clean pores will open up, making it the ideal time to spray on some perfume. Your open pores will soak up the scent, therefore, helping it last longer. Be sure that you’re completely dry when spraying on pulse points, because, if you’re still wet it will just rub off when you dry yourself.

A common technique used by society is to spray the perfume on one wrist and then rub them together, however, recently I have found this to be ineffective. Spraying on both wrists has proven to be a better avenue for helping my perfume to last longer. At first you may think that this technique will leave you with an overpowering smell but if you try spraying your wrists from a little further away than usual, this won’t be a problem that you’ll face.

Hopefully after incorporating these few tips into your morning routine, you’ll start to notice a positive difference. It’s time to start making those excellent first impressions whilst smelling your absolute best.
